YSL Beauty: Gamified Experience

YSL Beauty wanted a gamified virtual experience to immerse users in its fragrance universe. We created a branded world that elevated storytelling and scent discovery. The goal was to deepen brand perception among Gen Z through play. Our approach increased time spent and brand affinity. The result was a bold blend of beauty and interactivity.

Design Solution


Invite users into the world of YSL with a branded poolroom game that drives consumer engagement through an immersive branded game while leveraging content abd building brand Gen Z Image with a clean and creative environment.


Animation starts with bottle, ingredients, and moving water inspired by the campaign

Ingredient explosion highlights key ingredient, and showcasing texture, color, and vividness


As the animation continues, we zoom into the bottle, with logo as the focal point


Once closer, we can see that there is a cherry-red pool table and ingredients are falling back into this space


Cherries fall and land as pool balls, animation dips closer into the arial view of this room


Once inside, the camera lands within the room where they land in the world of YSL Black Opium over Red. Here they can play the poolroom game, engage with brand content, and learn about ingredients.


Users play against a computer in an immersive poolroom game experience immersed in the world of the fragrance - driving brand image and equity. Users pot cherry inspired pool balls to score its numbered value. The higher their point value, the better the prize they can redeem.


Results

Won the L'Oreal Gaming RFP, and became an official partner allowing us the opportunity to work with brands under the L'Oreal umbrella.
